This portrait of Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine, has been going viral over the Internet. Stylistically it is based on Shepherd Fairey’s iconic Obama “Hope” poster from 2008. The red, white, blue of the U.S. flag have been changed to the yellow and blue of the Ukrainian flag. The Zelensky “Hope” is already appearing on t-shirts, although there is no indication that any of the proceeds will help the fleeing refugees.
